Troubles with Sara Marie

I am a new pet owner never had a pet before. My cat is about 19months old and in the past month she has starting peeing on the walls. Took her to the vet the vet says because there are new cats in the neighborhood she is feeling teritorial. Tomorrow , Monday july,2 the vet is going to prescribe Sara Marie a pill to make her feel calm. I feel bad for Sara Marie but cannot stand cleaning walls all day everyday. Has anyone else had this problem?? Let me know what you were able to do to solve it please. Thanks
