About Me:

Hi Ya'all. My name is Katie Kitty. Most people call me Miss Kitty. I'm a Maine Coon cat. I live in South Carolina with my family on a small local farm.

I'm a bit of a "prissy princess" type if I do say so myself. But it's only because the girls in the family have treated me like one since the day I came to their home! I'm a well bred lady, and I come from a breeder about 10 miles down south of here.

My owners spayed me as soon as I came to my new home, so I wouldn't get in "trouble" if you know what I mean. If you don't, well, I'm not going to explain it, because it'll make me blush right out to the ends of my lovely white whiskers. In spite of my embarrassment, this truly is a good cause.

What I'm passionate about:

There are far too many cats out there in the "family way" out of wedlock. There are homeless little kitties all over the place and not enough homes for them! I dare say, I shudder to think of what might happen to those poor little kitties without a home. So please, folks, spay and neuter your pets.

New law in Los Angeles about spaying and neutering your pet

Hi Ya'll!

Good news!

The mayor of Los Angeles just signed a pet-sterilization law.

It requires that most cats and dogs be spayed or neutered by the time they are 4 months old. The goal is to reduce and eventually eliminate the thousands of ethanizations that happen in shelters every year.

Now we just need to get more cities to follow Los Angeles' lead!

Yeah! One day every pet will have a home.

Sarsparilla thoughts

Well hello Y'all, Miss Katie Kitty here. You can call me Miss Kitty. I'm just snoozing here in the Carolina sun. I was just thinking....Sarsaparilla. What a fabulous word. I think it must taste lovely. Like the sparkles on my pretty pink collar. I do love the way it catches the light in the southern sun.
