Lately I have been watching a lot of planet green, and I'm very interested what others are doing and thinking about doing as well.

Hello, Parrot!

Please check out my article Going Green - to protect our pets. It's about what we can do to make easy changes that help our animal friends and the environment.

Wow there are a lot of things I see there.

Do use recelyed kitty litter. Do you know any names of food that environmentally friends and good for pets?

Thank you for sharing I will keep all those tips in mind

Also already don't use non stick pans and cook wear. It can kill parrots and other birds. So had to stop using them right away. Never knew until then how they gave off chemicals.

I do many things to try to be green. One of the most important things is being a vegetarian. It is one of the most environmentally friendly things that you can do. Waste run-off from animal farming pollutes lakes, rivers and ground water. Also, because in America we eat millions of animals a year, the methane from animal waste is polluting the air. It takes a lot of grain to feed an animal until it gets to slaughter weight and this grain needs to be farmed then transported which uses a lot of fuel. Then after the animal is slaughtered, it must be transported and frozen. It costs alot of energy just to have that hamburger. If we used all of the grain that now goes to live stock as a food for humans, it would solve the world hunger crisis. No to mention that the way that the meat industry treats livestock is sickening and wrong.
Also, fishing is destroying our oceans. We are depleting the worlds fish supply by overfihing and this is causing many marine mammals (such as dolphins) to not be able to find food. Also, certain fishing methods destroy marine habitats such as ground trolling.
I'm not saying that the entire world should become vegetarian but if we all ate just a little less meat, the world would be a better place.

vegetarian is good suggestion. Just I love some of my meat stuff. Although don't eat meat every day.

Have tired before, never works. Due to family gathers and other things, makes it hard when you are already a picky eater and you have some family that is as well.

What is planet green? I've never heard of it. All Things Parrot said something about "recycled kitty litter".....I know what that is, but still just sounds funny :)

Planet green is on cable tv, that talks all about ways to be green or eco-friendly.

Recelyed kitty litter is actually very nice, perfect for reptile bedding or for kitties who have been declawed. Not to bad on smell either. I believe its better for people as well, not as much dust.

Jake do you have the website or something for the cat beds you speak of ?
